Parent and Family Visas

Visas to unite with your family by bringing them to Australia

Parent Visa

When anyone migrates to Australia leaving behind their parents in their home country, it’s not an easy option. But once you settle down in this new country, if you would like to bring your parents, there are many visa options for them, including the Partner Visa. Each visa subclass and pathway has its own unique benefits and considerations.

Contributory (Visa Subclass 864/884 and 143/173 visas):

These visas are costly but they have much shorter visa processing timeframes than the other permanent parent visas. There are options to apply from Offshore as well as from Onshore

Non-Contributory (Visa Subclass 103 and 804):

Parents visa 103 and 804 are not very costly but there a very long processing times. The permanent parent visas have multiple factors to be considered like the Balance of Family Test, and Assurance of Support to know which visa subclass will work for whom.

The Temporary Parent Visa (subclass 870):

870 parent visa is a temporary parent visa. It does not lead to permanent residency but allows the holder to remain in Australia for 3 or 5 years at a time.
